Goldfish in a Sunny, Formal Garden
Once I figured out how to embroider by machine on the fabric, I did more. I decided to create a “pond” with goldfish swimming in it. Thus this piece begins with a nine patch center, with “tile” pieced, not printed around it, sun pieces, and then a flowery edge, cut at a diagonal. I no longer have this quilt as I gave it to a friend’s daughter and new son-in-law who I felt needed encouragement.
