Springtime in the Garden
I learned very early on that a diagonal line is much more energetic, and thus usually find myself strip piecing fabric, ironing it, trimming the edges, and then cutting it at a 45 degree angle. Again there is a central “pool”which surrounds a small garden in the middle, and then we go into a huge flower garden, framed by purple hydrangea bushes and small purple flowers, famed by greenery. The position of the diagonals also adds to the design of the quilt.
