Sun Forces on Earth

This is the last of the “Jamie” Crowns done with yellows, browns and oranges, and of course red and black. Instead of a neat and more precise set of triangular pieces, this piece has more “artsy” triangles all the way around the piece. In the true quilting fashion, I had so many triangle scraps, and could make more, I chose to use those instead of slavishly doing the paper piecing of neater triangles. As well, when I was finished, and had it quilted, the edges were a little “wonky”, so I chose to go with it, and not have the typical straight side edges. It gives the quilt its own particular character. It is a queen-sized quilt, and yes, you can sleep under it! AND you will stay warm because you are under the sun!!
