A learning Quilt

I was so excited to create this quilt. The quilt store had all the primary and secondary colors of fabric on the shelf, right next to each other, but it wasn’t just plain, it had visual interest. I bought X amount of yards of each, and black and white and was ready to go. This was a quilt to teach about color. This is the only picture of it, and even it is not complete. All those triangles represent hours of work, but I was on it. I had the whole quilt finished, except to get it quilted. I left it on the cutting table in my studio over night. The next morning it was obvious that one of our kitties liked it so much there was kitty throw up all over it. Nothing to do but wash it. If the quilt had been quilted, I think it would have been fine. I had quarter inch seams, but somehow some of them did not fare well in the washing machine and I ended up with the quilt in pieces that could not be put back together again. I made purses out of some of it, and I don’t remember what else. I have never made it over – maybe I will have to. However, it was the beginning path of color and black and white combined in my quilt designs.Â
